Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Tim Hutson is a world-renowned drummer and music instructor whose dynamic talent and versatility have made him one of the most in-demand musicians of his generation. From early childhood, Tim displayed an innate rhythmic ability, crafting his first drum set from ice cream buckets at the age of eight. By high school, he had formed his own band, performing throughout the Philadelphia area.
Tim’s professional career launched at just 14 years old when he hit the road with The Delfonics. The day after his high school graduation, he embarked on a life-changing tour to Japan with Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, playing to standing-room-only crowds for two weeks. Since then, Tim has performed and toured with an impressive roster of legendary artists, including:

Currently, he continues to perform with Maysa Leak and renowned bassist Gerald Veasley while also working on new music.
