Tim Hutson, born in Philadelphia, PA is a world-renowned drummer and music instructor. Timmy is in high demand as a musician and has traveled the world with artists such as John Legend, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Maysa Leake (formerly of Incognito), Grammy Award winner Regina Belle, Billy Paul, Jeff Majors, Gato Barbieri, Ronnie Laws, Myles Jaye, Cece Peniston, Walter Bell, Kindred the Family Soul, Ray Goodman, and Brown, The Stylistics, The Manhattan’s, Joey Sommerville, Marian Meadows, The Delphonics, Simone (daughter of the great jazz vocalist Nina Simone), Brian Simpson, Oli Silk, Huge Groove, Alex Bugnon, Tom Braxton, Jeff Bradshaw, Jakiem Joyner, Jaguar Wright, Steve Cole, Frank McComb
Tim Hutson started playing drums at the age of 8 after making his drums out of ice cream buckets. In high school, he put together his own band, and performed in shows, and concerts in the Philadelphia area. Tim's first road experience was with the group the Delphonics at the age of fourteen. The day after his high school graduation he went on tour with Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes to Japan where they played for standing room only audiences for two weeks. Tim is currently working with Maysa Leak (of Incognito) and Bassist Gerald Veasley.
